My daughter Amanda got RSD after 11 operations on her knee. Her last major operation was a cortical implant at Duke that took at least 3 times as long as it was supposed to. She ended up with MRSA in the knee, and then needed 2 operations to try to clean out the infection. She was not able to go to physical therapy for 6 weeks because of that… then the RSD appeared.
Amanda’s RSD worsened about 6 years ago…we tried everything DUKE Medical Center suggested… 11 spinal blocks, meds, and then they wanted to put a spinal cord stimulator in..so..we went to Boston Children’s Hosp to see Dr. Charles Berde..who said absolutely not . . because she was too young and also had MRSA from surgery at Duke. After going to some holistic doctors and acupuncturists who were unable to help her, we finally read about HBOT… so we decided to purchase a home chamber from you and you have been managing Amanda’s HBOT since we began. After about 6 1/2 weeks we noticed a big change…unbelievable! We continued doing the HBOT intensively for about 4 months and the RSD seemed to have stopped… every now and then we still go back and do a few HBOT treatments.
